Ms. Shelby and I are just fascinated how much our littles have grown from the beginning of the year. They could not drink milk from a container without it looking like a dairy farm in here. Most of them could were not yet verbal. They depended on us teachers 100% for their conflict resolution over that "golden toy" that everyone wanted.  Using utensils was a foreign idea. Now we look out and see these little people who can solve most of their issues themselves. Who tell us when they need a diaper, or to sit on the potty. They have picked up SO many words and can tell us if they feel happy, upset, angry, and more importantly, why they feel that way. They are little leaders, co-workers, explorers, artists, and musicians.  They are spectacular.  Thank you for these special gifts.

Wheels on the Bus

As we work through our "Things that GO!" unit; visited the well-loved song "Wheels on the Bus." Today, we colored busses, put 'wheels' on busses, and then put pictures of ourselves inside the bus. The kids had a blast with this fine motor exercise. We also had the opportunity to visit the garden, clean our garden box, and play in the sandbox (which is finally not frozen!) Also, we found a worm, named it Ollie (there are at least 3 Ollie's now- the saga continues...) and put him in the worm-home with the others. I am so happy spring is coming! Lastly, we enjoyed a new pickler set up; this one challenged us to use our gross motor skills carefully (think: balancing) and many friends found creative uses even beyond what we anticipated! Thanks for letting us motor around  with your little drivers today! -Shelby APL3.1: Demonstrate development of sustained attention and persistence CA3.2: Demonstrate creative expression through visual art production PHG3.1: D...
