Friday Blogget

Happy Friday! Today, the fabulous Ms. Georgia came in to teach us how to make Charoset. It's a very basic delicious mixture of apples, grape juice, cinnamon and honey.  It is a symbolic food as well - so important that it is included on the Sedar Plate. It represents the mortar that was used by the Jewish Slaves in Egypt. We had our Shabbat Celebration: Followed by the Passover themed Light Studio! Including the Egyptian Desert with the "Red Sea"! And as our final activity for the day, we started to deep clean our chairs. Ms. Shelby and I feel it's important to include our students in the cleaning for Passover to teach them the rich heritage and traditions this Holiday brings.  Then we settled for lunch with a Shabbat story! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!! Shabbat Shalom.

Our final Chametz-

As our final hurrah, Olive spent the rest of our chametz today on Heaven Sand.  This flour and baby oil craft allows the kids to play similarly to how they play with sand, if sand was more like playdoh. That said, it can get messy! We will be changing clothes before we send them home, for convenience.  Please remember to send new backup clothes in ASAP! (Please be sure to include socks, as rainy days often mean wet feet.) Also, on today's agenda was: Playing in puddles and visiting with the rabbi for a celebration of song in the gym. Lastly, we will be sending our Passover projects home over the next few days, so please be sure to check your kiddos bag! Thanks so much for letting us make a whole mess with your magical toddler today! -Shelby   ELA2.4: Demonstrate comprehension M5.2: Understand measurement through description and comparison SE2.1: Demonstrate self control SE4.1: Demonstrate relationship skills APL3.1: Demonstrate development of sustained attention a...
