The Countdown Begins-

 Can you believe that we have less than 40 actual school days left? Whew, we still have a whole lot of fun to have, though. Here are a few things that we have in the works:

We will spend quite a bit of time cleaning up over the next week or so- don't worry though, there will not be any harsh cleaning products, but kiddos may get wet and thus come home in changed clothes.

After Passover, we are looking forward to doing some gardening, and then a class playdate in the garden (date: unconfirmed).

We are also looking to do a few sensory days that will involve water/soap/watercolors. We will wait until it is warm enough to do this outside and give some heads up if we're worried about clothing.

We expect our final units to include vibration, and magnetics- which will include a final family gift for the year. 

Lastly, we plan to chalk, bubble, and play the end of the year away- outside as much as possible. If you feel like it would be beneficial, please be sure to cover your tiny person in sunscreen.

It is likely that we will only have 2-3 more blogs before we part for break, so look for all the cute springtime photos to slow down until we return.

A quick reminder: school will be closed from April 10- April 21. We will return for all the fun on April 22!

Ms. Suzanne has a very quick, toddler friendly version of the Hanukkah story, accompanied by the children using an actual shamash to light their own candle. With real fire.  And it's a lesson in responsibility with flames that the children take very seriously.  You can see it in their faces - they are doing something that they probably haven't done before, and they are quite proud of their accomplishments.  First, we had the story where we learned of Judah Maccabee and Hashem's miracle of making the oil last 8 nights.  Next the children picked out their candle; there were so many color choices! Finally, each child put their candle in the Menorah to light and then blow out the flame.  We made more Hanukkah cards with markers - one of our favorite mediums.  Have a wonderful weekend. Shabbat Shalom!

HAPPY FIRST DAY OF OLIVE CLASS!! Ms. Shelby and I cannot be more proud of our kiddos today. Classroom (and light studio) Adventures!

 As the weather stays cold, we are lucky to have a facility with lots of indoor options to get us out of our classroom and get our imaginations running! Today we visited a refreshed light studio: This week's theme: SPACE Since we have already completed a space unit, we were SO READY! We also experimented with ribbon lengths today and enjoyed an impromptu dance party....  Because, why not?  As were getting older, you may notice us attempting to describe how big something is ("it's really REALLY big!"). If you catch a chance, ask your little one how long something is, too. Don't worry if they get the answer mixed up, or even treat the word 'long' as though it means the same thing as 'big', thats totally normal.
